Join an Organization:

UCR has over 300 pre-existing student organizations! Login to SOLAR Online to search and find one that suits you. If you're not a student, you can browse our public list and find contact info for these groups.

Re-Register Your Organization:

If your student organization needs to become re-registered (meaning you didn't reregister in Winter or Spring 09), below is a list of upcoming workshops, one of which you'll need to attend. Please call Student Life at 951-827-7344 or stop in (229 HUB) to sign up for one! When you come, please have your SOLAR profile up-to-date.

All workshops are located in the Learning Center computer lab (SURGE building).

Once you've attended a workshop, you can complete the below quiz as your final step in re-registration. You can also view the PowerPoint from the New Organization workshops as a refresher. (If you're a new officer, we strongly encourage you to read the PowerPoint prior to taking the quiz!)

Start a New Organization:

Do you have an interest that isn't represented by a current organization? Well, we're here to help you start one! The first step is to meet with a Student Life advisor and walk through the process of starting a new group. You can set up an appointment by calling Student Life at 951-827-7344.

Once you meet with your advisor, you'll need to write a constitution for your group. There's a template in the Student Organization Resources section of our site, check it out for ideas and tips.

The Student Life advisor will let you know when the next workshop is taking place. After you attend the workshop, you can take the below quiz as your final step in the process. If you'd like to refresh your memory about the PowerPoint that was presented during the workshop, you can view it below as well.
